Sourav Mukherjee is a social entrepreneur and grassroots innovator with over a decade of experience in sustainable development, women’s empowerment, climate action, and rural entrepreneurship. He is the Founder and Director of the Kolkata Society for Cultural Heritage (KSCH), an award-winning organization with UN ECOSOC consultative status that has positively impacted over three lakh lives across India through initiatives in mangrove restoration, renewable energy, women-led livelihoods, rural healthcare, and cultural preservation. A former IBM professional and a Computer Science graduate from Jadavpur University, he combines technology, indigenous knowledge, and community leadership to build climate-resilient, self-reliant villages. Sourav serves as a Consultative Member to the United Nations ECOSOC, Board Member of AI for Developing Countries (AIFOD) at the United Nations, and Advisory Board Member of the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry, contributing to global policy dialogues on inclusive growth, ethical AI, and sustainable partnerships. He is also the elected Chairman of the West Bengal Cyclist’s Association and a frequent speaker at UN forums, government platforms, and leading industry bodies, recognized nationally and internationally for championing dignity-driven development, eco-friendly innovation, and scalable social impact.
